Perks

Perks give the character the useful for various situations bonuses.

Ranking up perks requires perk points, which can be earned through leveling up (or as Starting Bonuses). Each one rank needs more points to learn (one for rank 1, two for rank 2 etc.).

Red Perks put a character at a disadvantage, and sometimes they can contribute to a Game Over in certain encounters, but that usually leads to obtaining Achievements. Though you can fail checks of those perks manually to save time.

Green Perks

Green perks are perks that never contribute to a Game Over if maxed out. They are mostly the stuff learned by the player while leveling up, but some must be gained through “certain” activities.

Boosting combat skills

Awakened	Requires Magic 2. Able to use magic innately. Each rank increases the mana draw from your mana reserve at the start of combat by your Magic stat, e. g. with a Magic of 5: Rank 1: 5 Mana Rank 2: 10 Mana Rank 3: 15 Mana	3
Incanter	Requires Magic 3. Adds one level of Dodge (25% damage reduction) to: Rank 1: Incantation Rank 2: Full Incantation/Quickcast	2
Spellblade	Requires Magic 3. Adds one level of Parry (25% damage reduction) to: Rank 1: all spellcasts Rank 2: Incantation Rank 3: Full Incantation/Quickcast	3
Archmage	Requires Magic 5. Adds 1 Mana draw from your mana reserve perk rank while using any skill which incants (Incantation, Full Incantation, Quickcast)	3

Perks you can't choose

Instead of learning them with perk points, you need to repeat certain actions, which often have a negative effect on you, too (can get some negative perks or just lose Purity).

Red Perks

Red Perks are perks that are gathered primarily from losing combat or being sexually submissive. Some of these perks can contribute towards a bad ending at rank 3, or force the player into specific scenes.
