The playable character in ToA, a feminine looking boy on a quest to find adventure. His actions depend on player choice, while some are locked behind in-game stat checks. During character creation, players will be able to choose Hiro's appearance, race, class, stat points, skills, magic skills, and perks. Hiro can upgrade his skills and perks, by leveling up through exploration, battles, and certain sexual encounters.
Players can keep track of Hiro's status and inventory through their respective in-game menus.
Races
During character creation, the player can select one of five races for Hiro to be.
Lowlander
Light-skinned people from the lowlands to the west. No outstanding qualities, but known for their bards and their wanderlust. (Effects: N/A)
Highlander
Dark-skinned people from the highlands to the south. No outstanding qualities, but known for their crafts and affinity for the sea. (Effects: N/A)
Mountainman
People native to the mountains, where life is hard. Hardy, but isolated and mundane. (Effects: Reduced stat loss from low health/stamina; -1 PER/MAG/CHR)
Elfblood
People from the east, known for their elven ancestry and features. Slow metabolism accompanies slow growth. (Effects: -1 food consumption; Slower level gain)
Orcblood
People from the north, known for their orcish ancestry and features. Fast metabolism, and enhanced physical features. (Effects: +1 food consumption; +1 STR/END/AGI)
Classes
At the start of their journey, the player can select one of several classes for Hiro to be. Each class has a set of base stats and equipment. Stats can be customized during the character creation: be raised by 2, or decreased by 1 from default digits to gain additional Stat-Points.
Warrior
A warrior is a combat specialist with a focus on greatly overpowering their opponents.

Special Classes
Special classes are classes that can not be chosen, but have to be acquired through meeting certain requirements throughout the game. All special classes come with a cosmetic outfit change.
Prostitute
Upon spending enough time in the brothel and raising your "Lady of the Night" perk to 20, your class will change to "Prostitute".
Bunny
If you fail to repay your debt to a bank twice, and lose to Puca in combat, your class will change to "Bunny".
