Arachne is a former human priestess who was turned into a half-spider being because of black rituals happening in now turned ruins sacred caves. She continued living there giving birth to lesser spiders.
Ruins[]
Traversing[]
Traversing her caves you can get into a closed room, and with Perception 5 find there 30 gold and food.
Then the floor suddenly collapses, and you have Agility 7 check. If you fail it, it's Agility 4 or wearing a gauntlet check, leads to Endurance 7 and 4 checks, and you lose health for failing each. (If you lose all of it and get unconscious, it will be a Game Over).
After some time you find a wall you can activate with Magic 2 or 4 to receive 10 XP, or 20 XP and replenish health. Finally, you'll need to have any boots on you to not get caught into the webbing. Otherwise you end up getting orally egged (Game Over).
In the lair[]
If you've gotten so far, the game recommends you to equip the torch you bought from Blacksmith instead of shield. You'll need it if you want to fight Arachne (without it you skip first three turns disoriented).
You meet a small spider.
- If you try to crush it, you get Perception 6 check. If you fail it, you get a backstab and proceed to the fight.
- If you pet it, you receive it as a joke item. But you also have to fight Arachne.
- If you leave it be, you have enough time to spot the enemy.
- You can just fight.
- You can flee, and have checks in Agility 6 and Endurance 6. Fail one of them: you have to fight. — Pass both: you just escape the caves and won't see Arachne again.
By winning in the fight you will receive a Masterwork Gladius.
If you end up in grappling with her, and she wins it, she ends the combat and the encounter with your egging.
But if you're gonna lose, prepare to make a difficult choice:
- Get eaten
- Witness her pumping the seeded eggs into the character's belly.
In case of staying as lover, she also gives the character a feminine attire made from spider web (equippable on inventory screen). After that there are consecutive checks in Strength 7, Endurance 5, and Magic 3.
- Passing one of them can let the character escape. After around 35 in-game time units the spiders will be given birth in overworld.
- You can still return to Arachne and get eggs again: In your mouth/In a second “egg receiver”
- If the character fails them all, it's an achievement and a Game Over where Arachne is using him as an incubator with four additional types of scenes described.

Trivia[]
- If you try to pet the tiny spider, you receive it as an item. Using it in combat with Arachna — eating it — earns her angry reaction.
- You can eat it in combat with Wasp, and she comments that she also likes them as a treat.
- Arachne has alternative Normal animation if you meet her without a torch in hands. She's only partially visible, glowing in the dark.
